Kira Simpson – Founder & Editor

Kira is a green living advocate and fashion lover. She believes there is no one size fits all green lifestyle and we can all live more sustainably in a way that fits in with each of our unique lifestyles. I’m originally from Sydney but migrated north because I hate the cold! The Gold Coast is now my forever home. My favourite: Music – Folk and indie rock. The Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, Boy & Bear. Book – The Clan of the Cave Bear series by Jean M. Auel. I’ve read them at least 10 times starting when I was 12. Movie – The Wizard of Oz. The one thing I can’t live without. There’s two. Wifi and coffee! The world needs more…. kindness and less judgement.

David Simpson – Photographer

After twenty years in the Australian army as a dog handler, Dave now runs his own property consulting business and takes photos for The Green Hub. He loves to travel and find adventure off the beaten track. I’m originally from Mackay, have lived all over Australia and now call the Gold Coast home. My favourite: Music – Australian bands like Boy & Bear and Busby Marou. Book – Anything by Stephen King. Movie – Stick Men. The one thing I can’t live without. My animals. Henry the cat and Charlie the giant lab x great dane. The world needs more…. puppies!!

Emily Eubergang – Sustainable Food & Brand Stories

Emily is a writer, farmer and ecoprenuer who transitioned from the urban jungle to a working farmstead in the beautiful mountains of the Manning Valley in New South Wales, Australia. She writes like she’s out to try and save the world… or at least make a difference for the better. I’m originally from Brisbane and now based in Elands, NSW. My favourite: Music – Band of Horses. Book – Man’s Search For Meaning by Viktor Frankl. Movie – The Lorax. The one thing I can’t live without. Avocado. The world needs more…. love.

Kate Hall – Green Living & Ethical Fashion

Ethical living/fashion advocate, eco wedding planner, and brand rep. Kate strives to promote ethical living in every way under the sun, and won’t stop at anything to make sure the planet and it’s people are being looked after the way that they should be. I was born in a beautiful coastal New Zealand town called Whangaparaoa and now live in the bay beside it: Red Beach. My favourite:  Music – Mumford and Sons (and anything I can groove to). Book –  The Great Gatsby Movie – About time (oh I’m such a girl). The one thing I can’t live without. The ocean, and everything that comes with it. The world needs more…. live, pop-up, hole in the wall theatres.

Olivia Burton – Science and Oceans

A science graduate from the land of tea drinkers with an obsession for sustainable fashion, adventure & the ocean. Now living in Sydney, Olivia works in content production & writes in her spare time whilst wearing a kimono. I’m originally from London and now burning on the beautiful beaches of Sydney. My favourite: Music – I am still listening to Blink 182 on repeat. Book – Sane New World by Ruby Wax. Movie – Ghostbusters (the original). The one thing I can’t live without. The ocean…literally! The world needs more…. kindness & laughing.

Nikita Metcalfe – Sustainable Fashion & Styling

Personal stylist with a focus on ethical and sustainable fashion combined with conscious consumption. Nikita believes in the power of styling to ensure women always feel great in what they wear while building meaningful wardrobes and a greater understanding of the impact of their clothes. I’m from Auckland, New Zealand and after spending 10 years in Melbourne I’m now based in Brooklyn. My favourite: Music – Lorde (NZ represent!), I’m currently playing her new album, Melodrama, on repeat! Book – Generally I love reading fiction but my current favourite book is Wardrobe Crisis by Clare Press. Movie – When it comes to movies I’m a sucker for rom coms, you’ll find me watching anything from Dirty Dancing to 10 Things I Hate About You. The one thing I can’t live without. As much as I hate to say this, my phone…but can any of us live without our phones these days?! I love that it keeps me close to old friends and connects me with new ones. Plus I rely heavily on Google maps to get me around New York! The world needs more…. compassion.
