The Story

Good things made fairly.

Part store, part mission, The Fair Trader curates ethically made fashion, gifts, and homewares from artisan groups around the world. Everything on their shelves is chosen with care for the craftsmanship and for the story behind it.

Based in Melbourne, they’re big believers in conscious shopping, slow production, and taking the time to know where things come from, and where your money goes.

You’ll find handwoven jute baskets, block-printed tea towels, natural soaps, linen robes, and jewellery made from brass, bone, and glass. Everything is made in small batches by artisans around the world, and every maker is paid fairly for their skills.
