From humble beginnings as an organic beauty blog selling Hurraw! lipbalms, Nourished Life is now the go to destination for natural and organic beauty for Australian women wanting to detoxify their lives.
Their petite powerhouse founder Irene Falcone, has built an incredible business based on natural and organic living, and taking care of ourselves and our families. Through Nourished Life, she’s empowering people to look and feel amazing, totally toxin free.
And it’s growing fast. Every time I visit the online store, there’s at least three beautiful new brands to discover!
Irene herself is a glowing picture of health and wellness so we asked her to share her beauty routine, top tips for beautiful skin and the products she loves.

Natural & Organic
I absolutely love that you can get the same or even better results from natural skin care and makeup without the nasty chemicals found in many mainstream products, because it proves that you just do not need to be exposed to questionable ingredients in order to achieve visible results.
So many of my customers have told me that their skin has never looked better after switching to natural skin care, their mascara lasts longer than ever, or they just feel great, and I love hearing those stories.
Beauty Routine
In the morning I cleanse my face with the 100% Pure Matcha Cleansing Foam and a Konjac sponge, then moisturise with the Matcha Moisturiser and put on my Coffee Bean Eye Cream.
Makeup is fast and simple – I use the 100% Pure Luminous Primer, then the Vapour Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation, and then I set my foundation with the 100% Pure Bamboo Blur Setting Powder so it stays put all day and I don’t have to worry about it.
Then I’ll swipe on some Black Tea Mascara and a tinted lip balm or some lipstick, and I’m out the door.
I love wearing makeup and the confidence it gives me, but being a busy mum some days I just do not have the time to put on a full face of makeup.
I can’t leave home without putting on my 100% Pure Black Tea Mascara though. Even if I’m really pressed for time I’ll just swipe on a couple of coats to give my lashes some length and definition.
Routine
In the evenings I take a bit more time for my skin care as part of my nighttime routine to wind down and relax.
I cleanse my face with the 100% Pure Blood Orange Cleansing Balm and a muslin cloth to remove my makeup, then follow with a really hydrating night cream and my anti-ageing secret, a good neck cream!
I love the 100% Pure Retinol Restorative Neck Cream. Then I’ll also apply an eye serum or cream so I don’t wake up with puffy eyes – it really helps!
An hour before bed I’ll make a cup of herbal sleep tea and sit down with a book, and that’s my cut-off for phones and computers for the night.
Favourite products
I can’t live without my 100% Pure Coffee Bean Eye Cream, it’s so hydrating and it really helps to reduce any redness, puffiness or darkness around my eyes. It’s my secret to looking well-rested, awake and refreshed even if I’ve been busy and stressed!
I also absolutely love The Beauty Chef Probiotic Skin Refiner, which gently exfoliates the skin and leaves it so bright and smooth. Plus it also acts as a toner because you don’t have to wash it off, so it’s a great multitasking product for busy mums.
For hair I love the 100% Pure Honey & Virgin Coconut Restorative Shampoo and matching Conditioner to keep my hair soft and hydrated, but occasionally I’ll switch to the Acure Brazilian Keratin Straightening Conditioner to help it stay sleek and straight and prevent any frizziness. Whenever I remember to, I’ll also apply a treatment like the Mukti Luxe Hair Serum to keep it shiny.
I’m never without my Hurraw lip balms! I keep different flavours in my bag, the car and at my desk so there’s always one within arm’s reach. I also always keep a 100% Pure Strawberry Lip Butter in my handbag for lip colour touch ups throughout the day.
Beauty Tips
To get gorgeous glowing skin, you do need to take care of yourself. It won’t happen overnight! Sleep deprivation and not drinking enough water is certainly not going to help your skin.
Even if you’re already using beautiful natural skin care products, they can only help so much if you’re not properly looking after yourself. Adding something extra to your existing skin care routine like a hydrating eye cream can also make a huge difference by brightening up your face and eliminating any signs of tiredness or dehydration.
The world needs more…
trustworthy businesses. There is so much misleading information and greenwashing out there that makes it so hard for consumers to always know exactly what they’re paying for. I would love to see more businesses become more transparent about what’s in their products so that consumers are not left in the dark.
