One day, you could be driving a dyson

If Dyson’s goal of designing an electric car that will solve the global problem of air pollution isn’t courageously ambitious, then I don’t know what is.

Dyson, better known for their vacuum cleaners, recently announced their plan for releasing a new electric car range by 2020.

British inventor and founder, James Dyson, has a team of 400 engineers who have been working on the £2.5bn project since 2015.

While there’s no prototype just yet, Dyson says the electric motor has been completed and the battery types are under development and on track for a 2020 reveal.

“I’m not a Johnny-come-lately to electric cars. It’s been my ambition since 1998 when I was rejected by the industry that has happily been creating dirty vehicles, and governments have kept on allowing it.”
