Calling all lovers of vibrant prints and colours, it’s time you get acquainted with Wolven.
Wolven is best known for its yoga wear, crops and leggings, with the sustainable activewear brand recently venturing into swimwear.
The newest collection offers a selection of geometric patterned bikinis and one-pieces, paying tribute to the vibrant cultural heritage of India and celebrate the roots of yoga.
Surf, Swim, and Namaste
Sharing a love for sacred geometry and drawing inspiration from nature, each fabric pattern is created in-house by Wolven’s designers Kiran Jade and Will Ryan.
Underpinning the Wolven philosophy is this idea of ‘practical and slow.’ They focus on transitional styles, pieces with endless opportunities for styling.
The yoga tops double as crop tops perfect with high-waisted shorts. The swimwear can be work to workout or as bodysuits under your favourite skirt. Come winter, the leggings make for a cosy and comfortable outfit topped off with your warmest knit.
Sustainable style
The super-soft, luxe fabric is quick-drying, moisture-wicking, anti-microbial, which means their pieces are performance-worthy and perfect for yoga, a gym session, surfing, or hiking.
Wolven’s fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified Recycled P.E.T fabric (RPET), a fabric made from recycled plastic water bottles. This certification ensures that their material is free of harmful and toxic chemicals. Over 6.4 million tonnes of plastic trash enters the world’s oceans each year. RPET creates a second life for plastics, helping to keep plastic out of our oceans.
“The Earth is our home and that we should do whatever we can in our power to protect her. We believe that beautiful fashion should not come at the expense of our planet.”
Wolven is also Climate Neutral certified and invest in programs that offset the emissions they create, meaning the business operates carbon neutral and their carbon credits support a range of projects such as rainforest conservation and landfill methane-capture.
The 1% For The Planet member donates a percentage of its profits to support environmental and climate solutions. They also low impact packaging, wrapped with hemp twine and posted in a recyclable poly mailer bag.
It’s safe to say Wolven take sustainability and the responsibility of their planetary impact seriously. They know they’re not perfect, no fashion brand is, but they are walking their talk and have plans to keep improving thier sustainability efforts in the years to come.
