The Story

Designed in Byron Bay and crafted in a fair trade studio in India, using high-quality handloom organic cotton, Alcana was born from a desire to support traditional textile artisans and empower the maker.

Alcana began with a dream to incorporate artisan textiles into contemporary fashion design, providing fair income for traditional skilled artisans and their communities while weaving their beautiful stories into our lives through environmentally conscious and ethical clothing.

By celebrating the true artistry of handcrafted, plant-based clothing and textiles we also celebrate slow fashion and slow living.

Alcana uses this holistic approach in every part of the production process, our aim is to combine the wisdom of the past with a vision for the future, providing quality and longevity, while inspiring others to slow down, be mindful and connect.

Each collection is small with limited runs to ensure there is no wastage and the focus is on craftsmanship and sustainability. We’re pioneering new luxury through considered design and human connection.
