Plantnet Is The Genius App Which Is Basically A Shazam For Plants

Kira Simpson

Ever wandered through a garden and wanted to know the names of all the plants you came across?

Yeah, me too!

Plant lovers of the world rejoice because, like most things in life these days, there’s an app for that.

Plantnet is basically a search engine to help you identify and name plants or, as it’s been frequently compared to, a Shazaam for plants.

The app draws on data collected from it’s social network to tell you the information about each plant. The visualisation software recognises most plant species and currently has over 4000 species in the database.

The app is free to download and available for Apple and Android.
