Sustainable House Day 2017

Kira Simpson

On the 17th of September, sustainable homes around Australia will open their doors to the public.

These are ordinary homes, owned by ordinary people, kind enough to let people into their homes and share their experiences with building a sustainable home.

From solar storage to passive design, Sustainable House Day is for anyone looking for inspiration and ideas about how to build or create their own sustainable home.

Over on the SHD site you can find a list of the participating houses and events around Australia. You will need to register your attendance here.

There are some truly incredible homes on display. Even you’re not in the market just yet, it’s worth checking out.
