This weekend over 300,000 people are decluttering their homes and taking part in Australia’s biggest garage sale.
The Garage Sale Trail started in Bondi Beach in 2010 as a way to encourage the local community to reuse and bring them together. Since then, it’s spread right across Australia and supported by over 150 councils.
This year the event is being held over the whole weekend, happening on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 October 2017.
There are two ways to get involved.
- Clean out your house and make some cash by hosting a garage sale. Register your sale on the Garage Sale Trail site to be included on the map of participating sales happening that weekend so people in your local area will be able to find you.
- Visit a garage sale. or 20! Enter your postcode on the site to see the trail map and find garage sales happening near you.
Either way you’ll clean out your spare bedroom, make some money or find a bargain. Happy hunting!
