21 Questions With Author & Vogue Sustainability Editor Clare Press
Fashion journalist, Vogue Australia’s first Sustainability Editor, author of two (soon to be three) books, podcaster, speaker, and environmental advocate. Clare Press is everywhere these days, sharing her wisdom and passion for sustainable fashion. I’m still not convinced she sleeps.
Chances are you’ve listened to the Wardrobe Crisis podcast, read one of Clare’s books or her work in Vogue, and you’ll already know about her passion for sustainable fashion, eco-activism, and despair over single-use plastics. So I wanted to share a few things you might not know about this fabulous fashion maven.
1. What do you splurge on?
2. Last great book you read?
Rise & Resist? Ha ha. Okay, seriously, I just re-read Gloria Steinem’s My Life on the Road, and it’s glorious.
3. What phrase or word are you known for saying?
Oh, I don’t know. You tell me!
4. Favourite/most worn item in your wardrobe?
I have a much-loved MacGraw dress that makes me feel confident that I wear constantly on Instagram.
5. What are you terrified of?
Hmm, I try not to do terrified. Maybe illness? I’m prone to Googling imaginary ailments.
6. Makeup product/look you wear most
7. Your classic uniform?
High-necked shirts with ruffles, big sleeves (or both) worn with a well-cut pair of trousers or vintage jeans and statement boots. Or folk dresses with sneakers. Also, I never met a giant earring I didn’t get along with.
8. Bad habit you can’t shake?
