Creative Women With A Conscience: An Evening Celebrating Locally Made Ethical Fashion

The Green Hub

Welcome ‘Creative Women with a Conscience’,

We’d love for you to join us at our next tommie community event where we’ve teamed up with Jenny Leong, the Greens MP for Newtown, to present an evening dedicated to locally made, ethical fashion in support of Fashion Revolution Week!

We wanted to showcase some of Newtown’s best independent brands + retailers who have been long supporters and advocates of Australian manufacturing – and what better week than Fashion Revolution Week to find out directly from the designers themselves, ‘who made my clothes?’.

More than ever we need to provide all women with a voice – we need to work together to affect positive change for a fairer future for women no matter what our backgrounds or socio economic status.

Times up on injustice and we are to be celebrated for our diversity! We need more diverse voices to join the conversation, because this is real change and progress!

Inclusivity and visibility of women not only in sustainable fashion, but all fields, is how we will continue to #pressforprogress.

Come along to listen in on our guest panel discuss what it’s like to run independent, lady owned businesses that support locally made product and Australian manufacturing.

The panelists will educate us on how to start your own ethical fashion brand, the benefits of producing locally + how style, social justice, sustainability and ethics can successfully work together in fashion.

They’ll also be bringing along exclusive pieces from their collections for a night only ethical fashion market, where you’ll be able to shop directly from them on the evening.
