Coming soon to cinemas around Australia, Future Council is the hopeful climate film we need right now.
From 2040 director Damon Gameau, Future Council follows eight young changemakers on a road trip across Europe in a veggie-oil-powered school bus. They speak with scientists, CEOs, artists and activists, asking the hard questions and offering solutions of their own, shaped by the future they want to live in.

The result is disarmingly honest, funny and hopeful. It invites us to see the climate crisis through the eyes of a generation who will live through its consequences, and to listen with more care to the ideas they’re already putting forward.
It’s already sparked a growing global movement, with the cast inviting other young people to design their own councils and challenge systems that aren’t working.
The Tour
The national tour runs from late July to mid-August, with screenings in cities and regional towns, Q&As, musical performances, and guest speakers, including Gina Chick (Alone Australia), Ruby Rodgers from the film, and 14-year-old Good Citizens co-founder Harry Robinson. All funds raised through the film support a nature repair fund, with money going directly to environmental restoration.
